introduction
WebDataFX provides a consultancy, design and coding service for the creation and maintenance of internet web sites.
The service is both comprehensive and competitive.
For a business or an organisation a
web site is now an essential part of the structure of the business. Large or small your business is found and judged by
your clients and potential clients through the internet. Having no web site or a poor web site can create a negative
impression of your business or organisation. Let us provide the expertise which gives you the site you want and reinforces
the values of your business.
WebDataFX is the trading name for the services provided by John Wright.
web design
The work undertaken in web design covers a large part of any web based project. This work typically covers:
Consultation
The evaluation of the purpose of the site and specific needs. An evaluation of technical
requirements and a discussion of the budget, time scales and costs of a project. The general concept of the site is agreed
with consideration given to business objectives, target audience, graphic appeal, usability and information architecture.
Design
Once the general concept of the site is defined and agreed an initial design can be produced and then refined.
The initial design is the starting point for the refinement of each element of the site to produce a final creative design
which meets the specified aims of the site.
Production and Launch
The production phase turns the creative design into a working and usable web site
which can be tested and refined further (if required) to produce a finished site suitable for live use.
The last stage of production is a structured testing of the site before it is made live.
portfolio
I have worked on many web based projects covering a wide range of business types and business sizes.
My work has included one page sites for the small business requiring a web identity to large real
time database driven projects for multi-national companies. I have been involved in the
specification, design, development and launch of a diverse range of sites, from the very small
(a few pages) to sites containing many thousands of pages of information and images.
The images on the left represent a sample of recently completed projects.
More information is available about these projects by selecting an image.
digital imaging
Good images work with the text on the site and can bring a site to life.
I can supply the images required for a web site or you can supply your own images that you have
had commissioned. Images can be supplied from stock or can be created for your web site.
Images can be commissioned directly from John Wright at

about
I enjoy working with people and this reflects in my work. I find the challenge of the tight deadline or
difficult technical requirement pushes me to achieve. I have never been one to settle for
'just good enough', I have to deliver the best I can.
My career has included senior technical roles with Reuters and AP. I have been self employed
since the early 90's working primarily in web design and development.
I divide my time between freelance web design, photographic work, self financed projects
and work for local community groups and charities.
My photographic and digital image work can be viewed at
